The Sequencing of Pattern Display

Fingerprint Geometric Analysis

 

The phenomenon of different populations at various venues has led fingerprint classifiers to adjust the assignment of numerical values to the digits in the primary classification.  The primary classification consists of 1,024 codes and it is a component of the Henry System of Fingerprint Classification and Filing.  A sequential listing has been provided which is used to display an arrangement of the selected numerical values.  A choice of assignment to each hand could therefore be made from this listing of 120 values. Accordingly, when we take into account that there are two hands, the total number of sequence combinations is 14,400.   As an overall choice I select # 33 for both hands.   Its display is 2,4,8,1 and 16.  The logic is to assign the greater numerical value to the digits with the lowest frequency of whorls and for the digits with the highest frequency, vice versa.
